City of Canyonville  / Concession Booth  



The Pioneer Park’s Fireman’s Booth shall be available for use. Scheduling of the use shall be handled by the administrative staff of the City of Canyonville with first consideration given to the Canyonville South Umpqua Fire District, and such use is governed by GENERAL PARK CONDITIONS OF USE along with the following rules:


1.              Keys for the Concession Booth are to be picked up from City Hall before closing (usually 5:00 p.m. unless closing early for a holiday) not more than two days prior to the day of use. Keys are to be returned to City Hall immediately following use. They can be put in the drop box outside City Hall.  There will be a $25.00 per day charge for unreturned keys.


2.             Use of the kitchen will allow the renter to use counter tops, refrigerator, freezer and sink.  Special arrangement will need to be made for use of the Grill and ovens.  DO NOT COOK FISH OR SEA FOOD ON THE GRILL.  DUE TO HEALTH CONCERNS THE FIREMAN’S STAND WILL NEED TO BE CLEANED ON THE DAY IT IS USED AND EVERY CONSECUTIVE DAY TO FOLLOW.


3.             Do not use or remove kitchen equipment, utensils, or supplies, without prior written authorization from the City or the authorized owners. 


4.             The ownership of property in the kitchen will be clearly marked if possible.  


5.             Any use of supplies, loss or damage to utensils, or damage to any appliance will result in the renter being charged an amount equal to twice the cost of repairs or replacement.  Such costs will normally be deducted from the clean-up deposit.  If the cost to repair or replace exceeds the deposit, the renter will be billed for the balance and the individual or group will not be allowed to rent the kitchen area in the future.


6.             Smoking is not allowed in the Concession Booth.


7.             No tacks or nails are to be driven into the walls or exteriors.


8.             No scotch tape shall be affixed to the walls, door trim, etc.


9.             Masking tape may be used to affix signs or decorations. All taped signs or decorations must be removed at the conclusion of the use.


10.           All use shall cease and the building closed by 10:00 p.m. unless approved in advance by the City.


11.           The person signing the rental agreement shall be deemed responsible for locking all doors, turning off the lights, taking all garbage from the cans in the park to the dumpster located at the south end of city hall, relining the cans with bags that will be in the bottom of the garbage can (leaving a newly lined, empty garbage can),  and returning the keys as specified in Rule #1.


12.           The person signing the rental agreement shall be responsible for all damage to the building or its contents. This applies to misuse, vandalism, or carelessness, not normal wear and tear.


13.           The kitchen is used by the Canyonville South Umpqua Fire District and must be kept clean.  If it is required to be cleaned as a result of the renters use before it can be rented again, the renter will be charged a cleaning cost at the rate of ________ per hour per person.  The minimum charge for such cleaning will be ________.  This amount will be deducted from the clean-up deposit.  If the cost of cleaning exceeds the amount of the deposit, the renter will be billed for the balance and that individual/organization will not be eligible to rent the kitchen again for a period of one (1) year.  If the kitchen is in need of cleaning, or if any damages result from the use of the kitchen, it will be assumed that the last user is responsible and will be treated accordingly.  Therefore, you should inspect the kitchen before your use and immediately report any damage, litter, inoperative appliances, etc. to City Hall at 839-4258 or leave a message on the machine.

14.    If you do not rent the kitchen and it is found to have been used after your rental of the Park, you will be charged a penalty of ________, which will be deducted from the clean-up deposit.
